He sets for you an example, drawn from yourselves.

He presents to you an example from yourselves.

He propoundeth unto you a similitude taken from yourselves.

He sets forth for you a parable from your own lives.

He coineth for you a similitude of yourselves.

Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you?

Does it seem strange to you that a reminder from your Lord should be sent to a man among you so that He may warn you?

What! do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you that he might warn you?

Do you wonder that a warning has come to you from your Lord through a man who is one of you and warns you?

And are you surprised that an advice came to you from your Lord through a man amongst you, so that he may warn you?

What, do you wonder that a reminder from your Lord should come to you by the lips of a man from among you?

Marvel ye that an admonition from your Lord should come unto you upon a Man from amongst you in order that he may warn you?

Do you wonder that there has come to you a Reminder (and an advice) from your Lord through a man from amongst you that he may warn you?

Are you surprised that a reminder has come to you from your Lord, through a man from among you, to warn you?

Do you wonder that an exhortation should come to you from your Lord through a man from amongst yourselves that he may warn you?

Marvel ye that there should come unto you a Reminder from your Lord by means of a man among you, that he may warn you?

Do you consider it odd that there should come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you?

Do you wonder that a remembrance should come to you from your Lord to a man from yourselves in order that he may warn you?

He who has more integrity has indeed greater honour with God.

Surely the noblest among you in the sight of God is the most godfearing of you.

Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At Taqwa i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious see V. 2 2).

The best among you in the sight of God is the most righteous.

Verily the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most God fearing of you.

Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct.

Indeed the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most Godwary among you.

The noblest of you before Allah is the most righteous of you.

Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.

The most honorable among you in the sight of God is the most pious of you.

The noblest of you in God's sight is the one who fears God most.

Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you.
