And We separate them, the one from the other, and their (pretended) partners say It was not us ye worshipped.

Say (O Muhammad) If the Beneficent One hath a son, then, I shall be first among the worshippers. (But there is no son).

But were they to ascribe any partners to Allah , what they used to do would not avail them.

Then We shall set them apart from one another, and their partners will say, It was not us that you worshipped.
